Take them! I had one at 10 weeks and was thankful for the medication, the only problem I had was I had a rust colored discharge. But my pharmacist told me that was a side effect

Take the medication,  when i frist found out i was pregnant the doctor told me i had a uti and gave me antibiotics but i didnt take them thinking they would hurt the baby. 3 weeks later i ended up in hospital and the hospital said the uti has gotten that bad to the point it could kill the baby and all my eggs for future babies, it had also gone in to my kidneys and i was in alot of pain. they put antibiotics in a drip and i stayed for 3 days in hospital and thankfully it worked bubs is ok and no more uti. Next time ill definitely taking the antibiotics when i fist get them.

I got s uti three times throughtout my pregnancy. I'm 38 weeks. The only problem I had was after I took I took the antibiotics in usually end up with a yeast infection. It's a problem I always have. If that is the case with you let the doctor know so they can prescribe something for yeast as well

Yeah, even my hippie midwife who would only ever recommend something natural said the better choice is to take antibiotics for UTIs, even if they had no symptoms (2 just showed up after urine testing for me). I had UTIs 3 times during each of my first 2 pregnancies. Babies were fine. None this time as my diet is much better.

The only problem I had was I was on a course of them at the time I gave birth, and while I finished them I breastfed. This meant my daughter wasn't colonized with good vaginal bacteria on the way out (as antibiotics clear ALL bacterial flora, good and bad) and any she had were wiped out in the next 2 days of breastfeeding. Which in turn gave her gut and immune system a poor start to life and she had lots of stomach troubles and mucus and excema until I discovered baby probiotics from my naturopath. They cleared her up well.

I had a uti at 10 weeks and I was worried about taking them but I did anyway cause it's more of a risk not to, and everything's fine. I'm 30 weeks now and baby is very healthy.

Yes I have with 2 pregnancies. Its more risky leaving it untreated.

It's safe. I kept them with my daughter so I was always on antibotics. It's better to take them than not. The infection can cause the baby harm if not treated.
