Over the last couple of days I've noticed a rash forming around my vagina. I am currently 33 weeks pregnant, and I think there may be a few reasons why but I'm not too sure. I'm going to my doctor in a week or so, and will probably ask her, but I wanted to see if anybody else has heard of this or experienced this themselves.
If i walk a lot I end up leaking a bit of urine, so I wear pads to keep things clean, and I just switched to a different brand around the time the rash started to develop. It is really itchy, but if I try to scratch it it ends up burning after and getting more itchy. It's hard for me and my husband to have sex because it's irritating and doesn't feel pleasurable.
Right now I've been keeping Vaseline on it to keep it moist so it doesn't dry up and hurt more, and I'll take short hot baths whenever it gets unbearable. Any ideas on how to keep the irritation to a minimum before I talk to my doctor or what this may be caused from?
The pads that you are using.? Are they scented? If they are you can switch to non scented ones....this can cause irratation..It dont really sound like a yeast infection to me but i am not a doc....i would suggest using a panty liner instead and some baby powder to keep things dry...after of course it clears upa a bit!! But using canasten would probably be good too! Also have you contacted you dr about this yet??
