Vaginal Swelling

I am almost 36 weeks pregnant and lately i have noticed that lately my vagina has been very swollen, but only some days. i will be fine one day and wake up the next and be super swollen and feel like i have a baseball or something between my legs. Why is that and is this normal? I am a little scared and my boyfriend is sort of creeped out and questioning it. Please help. Comments are greatly appreciated!! Thank you

Don t worry, completely normal. I thought mine looked like a cauliflower! And tell your boyfriend not to freak out because it will get back to normal... eventually!!! Good Luck!

Ahhhh.... just another wonderful pregnancy symptom that no one remembers to tell you about. Like Majikat said- you're swelling due to fluid retention and increased blood volume pumping through your body. The basketball between your legs feeling is most likely pressure from baby, which can help cause the swelling as well.

Drink tons of water. Amazingly drinking MORE water helps water retention.

It is normal for your vagina to swell in pregnancy.... its cause of all the increase in blood volume.... do you have any pain or abnormal discharge.... the baseball feeling that you are feeling could just be pressure of the baby... but if you have any discomfort or discharge contact your dr on monday to get it checked out....
