Varicella vaccine and pregnancy
I'm told to wait 3 months after varicella vaccine before trying to get pregnant.    Why is the live virus from the vaccine no longer a threat to an fetus after 3 months? (forgive me but I know little about how a live virus works)

I believe they want your body to produce the adequate amount of antibodies and have it in store to protect you, and that takes a while. Check with your doctor.  I'm sure they don't want you to get the actual shot when actually pregnant, but I don't think the live virus lasts very long in your system.  What they are after is your body having time to produce the protections against varicella.
