Vent... tho i shldnt be! and Props!

Question

Hey ladies! Just needed to get a little vent out! :)


So my dear fiancé {:)} just started a season job skinning coons. The figured with the holidays,the wedding, and us moving and (fingers crossed) a baby. That a little extra cash would be nice to have. Don't get me wrong we fair well. After all the monthly bills are paid with my check we have a good $4-500 left over. And he gets paid weekly so that's our live on $$. And I can see where he's coming from and I love the thought of having a little extra to spurge on the wedding. But...


Its just not fair! We already work opposite shifts and days when I have off our nice to have time together! But now if I'm off he's gonna start working till 9 or 10! So he'll come home exhausted(er) and just go straight to bed! How are we suppose to make a baby? Or have together? We've done this before and I hated it!

And I know I shldnt complain he's doing it for me and the girls and its only till March and we just went on a vacation together! But man...

I give you ladies props who see there DH,DB,DF's once a week or so! I'd die. He's everything to me. (and the girls) he spoils my @$$ rotten! I hope that doesn't change too much.

I'm trying hard not to cave and take my cheapo test tonight. I have went to the bathroom in about 4 hours or so. I held it in case I decided I wanted to take it.. but I did have some mtn dew about 2 hours ago.. wasn't a lot.. few swallows and that was it.. May just say no and wait lol

Yup! Ik how it goes. At 10 they send home most. 11 half what's left and 12 the rest. Only 3-4 overnights

What's more annoying at our walmart is that they have tons of lanes... but at night they at the most have 3 open with lines of people lol

Lol... Yea I use to work at a Wal-mart. There was always a rush at 10 and midnight!

DF use to text from work but he broke his phone....

Honestly, you adjust to it. I'm a big supporter of my DF and whatever he wants to do to provide for us. Don't get me wrong, I miss him all the time. He texts me from work. Like right now, were texting about prenatals and water. He get's off at 1:00 tonight if everything goes right then were going to Walmart... Late at night, you'd think no one would be in there but OH NO.. people are everywhere lol....

With jobs hard to come by these days, I guess it's more of a have to like.. rather than want to like... his job arrangements... lol

Thanx ladies! Its good to know I'm not alone! I hate when I do overnights too. those days we only getta see eachother for like 5 mins... They talked bout making me a weekday overnight. Which would mean I'd work for 4pm-8am Monday till friday... I'd die! DF works for 8am- 4pm! I wouldn't seen him till friday night! Some times I work weekends which is Friday at 4pm till Monday at 8am... Those are so long!  This is just all something I'm going to have to adjust to... He loves the skinning job he did it when he was younger... At least he's happy. :)

I really don't know how u guys do it! This is just cutting my time with him from like 4 days a week to 1-2... Plus we still getting sleep together most nights! Idk how u ladies have men with overnight jobs..

I understand about crazy shifts. My dh works tuesday-friday, 9pm to 7 am.  Then he also works 2 other jobs besides that one.  One is on sat nite from 9pm to 12am and sunday 9pm to 3am.  He does this so we can make ends meet and I can stay home with the kids. And when he is home hes doing a lot of sleeping.  And at the end of november to december 26th, he takes on another job 2-3 days a week to make extra christmas money. But somehow we make it work weve been married for 17 years.  Its not easy and takes a lot of work but its do-able and so worth it.  Vent away, I totally understand.

DF works crazy shifts. For two weeks he works in the am from 6:30-3:30 pm.... I see him when he gets home but we have a house were working on and other things that need to be done so he has to be in the bed at least by 10-12:00.. that only leaves a little time for us before bed.... Then the other two weeks he works 4:30pm-1:00 am... and most of the time he has to work 30 minutes to an hour over. Day shift isn't too bad cause then it's only 30 minutes... But night shift (which by the way he's on right now) it stinks being lonely. He comes home from work anywhere between 1:40-3:45 in the morning. Gets to bed and sleeps until about 11 sometimes 12.. and then before you know it, he's out the door again. Thankfully he doesn't work Sundays! :)
