Went for my scan today................

Just to update you all i had my first scan today and everything is fine and they saw the heartbeat! They say im between 5-6 weeks so im a little further behind than i thought i was and im measuring at 3.4mm which apparently is the normal size for the 5-6 weeks.
Im so so happy!

I think its natural to worry if you really want the baby so much then you worry from start to finish. M/C is heartbreaking and i never thought that i would have to experience it but i did and my heart goes out to the millions of other women that have suffered a M/C. After a M/C you blame yourself as i did and then you convince yourself that you wont get pregnant again but i am here 6 weeks pregnant now and praying all goes well with this pregnancy. They have seen a heartbeat which is a good sign aswell as apparently the chance of m/c goes down slightly.

I know what you mean.  I have never had a m/c.  I have 5 kids.  But even though I have never experienced the heartache of a m/c, I always worry until I am holding that baby!!

Thank you, yes i have been worried and i think i will still worry for the rest of my pregnancy as having a M/C tore me apart and i can not chill out and relax as much as i should be as i think that its going to go wrong again. I do feel a lil bit better cos they saw a heart beat but im just a worrier and wont relax until that baby is in my arms!
