My obgyn nurse suggested that I try it before they prescribed me zofran. I think you should check with your doctor since they should know what all you're taking. I did use it, but it didn't help me.
I'm not saying its not safe, just that safety has not been established. I personally am on Zofran which is a category B, there are a few other Rx ones as well also category B. As for OTC I know Benadryl is safe as is Dramamine.
Its OTC so a Dr wouldn't prescribe it. I've just never seen it used in pregnancy before... Did your Dr suggest you take it?
I used it my 3rd month I wouldn't think doctor would prescribe it if it was gonna harm the baby. Good luck on getting better n not sick bc I hated it.
I was actually asking for opinions of people who have tried or used this before, I know how to use google. Thanks. @GeekMom1213
No I actually used my nursing drug book.. It's come in handy a lot this pregnancy lol
^^what she said^^
If we had pharmacists or doctors on here answering questions you might have gotten an answer sooner - people who don't know for sure aren't likely to answer a question about medication safety. I'm going to bet (though I'm not positive) that knufrio probably googled that medication name to get that info for you. Which I bet you probably could've done, too.
This would be a question for your Dr. Emetrol is considered a category NA, meaning that there have been no studies, human or animal, to determine its safety during pregnancy. If you are feeling nauseated you can take benadryl until you speak with your Dr and get a prescription for something safer.
Really you guys? Thanks for the help smh
