What are the chances of a 2nd blighted ovum

Hi evryone. Im a 22 year old mum to a 1 year old. i had a perfect pregnancy with him. 4 months ago i lost a pregnancy at 7 weeks due to a blighted ovum, i had a D&C the following day which went to plan. 21 days after that a had a normal period. and the month after no period, I am now 7 weeks 4 days pregnant and am booked in for an early scan . I am so nervous that the scan will show up an empty sac again and want to no from other womens experiences or knowledge what the chances of this are. Like last time i am having no bleeding or pain just the normal signs of a pregnancy with a lot of bloating looking very pregnant. Please reply. katie x

Thankyou for your reply. were in exactly the same boat then, i have my scan on monday 5 days time. i hope i get the same results as you. must have been so nice to see a baby in there. Keep me posted on your progress, katie xx

i had a blighted ovum in july and had a d&c as well, i am currently 7 weeks 4 days pregnant and have seen the baby and heartbeat! everything is so nerve racking after a miscarriage..at 5 weeks i had an ultrasound and only seen an empty sac, that day was devestatiing i thought it was happening all over again, then at 6 weeks i seen the hb and all~~~i have another ultrasound tomorrow and am hoping to see my little bean still growing and its heartbeat again *scary you hear about people who seen the hb one week and not the next)! wish me luck as i will do the same for you!!!
