What experiences have you had with these products! Mucinex *(with guaf. only), Preseed, OPK's, and early pregnancy tests...Experiences welcome!(Maybe TMI srry)

ok, first of all I want to make this clear, I'm not trying to offend ANYONE with my post.

1) I'm asking for personal experiences with these products,
2) I am NOT asking what you think about us TTC'ing for another baby.. we made that decision as husband and wife and we didn't take it lightly either.

and 3) IF you do not like my post or have something negative to say about it I ask that you keep it to yourself or just don't read my post.

I believe today is the last day of AF. TMI but it's been very light, I didn't need a pantyliner even. And the only time I had any bleeding was after BD'ing. It was pink colored so that's why I figure I'm about done with it. So according to the, "gleeson fertility wizard" I'm on day 6. Lately I've had NO clue about my cycle because OBVIOUSLY stress has been playing a part the 2 times I was late during the last 3 cycles.  The cycle before the last one was 6 days late, the last AF was 2 days late and this one was 3 or 4 days late.


AND this cycle, I had NO pms. I had cramping for 2 days on the day I "Thought" I ovulated (according to temp, and CM) then nothing til about a week later and some sore BB's for a few days. Then that went away and I had NOTHING, no pms or anything until the DAY AF started. I had some bad cramping for that day, then the next day had sore BB's and then nothing again..

I NEVER, EVER Go without PMS. at least I never did before, and I had PMS my first 3 AF's after TJ was born... so I wonder why I wouldn't have it much now?

I doubt the problem is Anovulation. (not ovulating).. because I'm fairly sure I'm ovulating.
so DH and I came to the decision a couple weeks ago that if I wasn't pregnant then we'd begin trying this month and try our best to "stack the deck" for both
A) a healthy pregnancy, and
B) a healthy baby... preferably a girl but we'd be happy either way.

So tonight we went to walmart and I got the generic Mucinex (6$$$ for like 80 pills)
THEN I went online and did some research on prices for things. Among them were, Preseed, OPK's, and Early Pregnancy tests.
So I went to Amazon.com, as well as early-pregnancy-tests.com and preseed.com.

The best prices I found were at amazon, I got several items that were sold separately. And I got 3 things for really good fun...

TMI: But I've heard orgasming can help a woman to conceive so I found a perfect little multispeed bullet($3.50) and some fuzzy handcuffs ($2) . Sounds cliche but I've always wanted fuzzy handcuff!  And the bullet is perfect! for those women who haven't ever used one... try it. Your hubby will love it too! (you can use it at the same time as BDing!)

Quick OT question... Anyone ever use "pearls"($2) KWIM? The panties that have a double strand of pearls at the crotch?

i've heard of them and thought I'd try them... DH thinks he will like it!

Preseed:  I got a 40Gm tube for $15.00
OPK's~  20OPK's for $13.25  
Early Pregnancy Tests~ 10 total tests for $4.83

(Technically it ws 20OPKs +5EPT's, then the 5 other EPT's AND then preseed, all together $30.00 so it saved me some money)

So here are my questions:  I want answers saying if it worked and how well. ALSO I WANT TIPS on what else to do. (I know about temping and also how to lay after BD'ing, however temping has been irregular for me. So that's why I got the OPK's)

#1) Did Mucinex work for you to help you conceive?

#2) Did the Preseed work for you?

#3) Were the OPK's accurate (I know how to read them)???

#4) AND Were the Early Pregnancy tests accurate (theyre the same kind sold at early-pregnancy-test.com)????

So again... I'd love to hear all sorts of experience, TIPS... etc.

I used pre-seed, didnt work, i used robitussin, didnt work, i used opk's they did detect my surge.

When you enjoy sex and make it fun it takes the stress off of ttc.

Me and DF ttc for 5 months(took one month off) and we were stressed the whole time, arguing, mad, feeling like it was a job and we got preggo month 5, so that theory you cant get preggo being stressed is not true. Like mumita said, a woman only has a 20-30% chance each month to get preggo, and thats not a lot of chances.

Yes an orgasim may make your cervix come down low and act as a vaccum to suck up sperm, but you have the same chances of getting preggo if you dont have an orgasim bcuz when the man ejaculates the the millions of sperm will make its entrance threw the cervix.

I tried standing on my head after sex, putting a pillow under me, lying still etc. none of that **** worked. When i got preggo, we had sex dec 26 and 27th, i ovulated on the 27th, after sex i got up, washed up and went on by my day. I think as long as a woman has no fertiltiy issues and has sex on her fertile days she is bound to get preggo, some women it just happens to faster than others.

As far as pregnancy test, i used the dollar tress ones with my last pregnancy at 9dpo and it worked, this time i used a digital from walgreens at 12dpo and it worked. I believe all the test work as long as you have the right amount of hcg levels in your body. And yes, anything man made can be defective but it doesnt mean all of them may be defective.

Good luck on your journey, i would not spend money on things you dont need, especially if you did not use them when you conceived TJ.  What i learned about ttc is you need patience, it will happen when it is suppose to happen no matter how hard we try.

Crysi- it may help but its not "necessary" and if it helps, it increases the chances slightly.

GRose- as far as I understand the usage of these sexual enjoyment devices... those double stranded pearls are to be inserted in several orifices (aka holes) in the human body and double stranded meaning that they an be shared.  Hence male and female can use them simoultaneously.  The purpose is that as the pearls are pulled out they are supossed to cause more pleasure due to the high sensitive nature of those contracting muscles in the orifice in which they are placed hence causing more intense orgasms.  Generally used in the anus.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but that is the use that I have learned.  Never had the chance to use them though.

A female orgasm lowers the cervix (making the space the sperm need to swim less) and rapidly changes internal pressure acting like a vaccum sucking the sperm up the cervix (if it is open/ you're ovulating) So female orgasm is good (for conceiving of course LoL)

1. Mucinex will not make you ovulate, it'll just make you have more ewcm than normal.

2. every fertile female has about 20% chance to conceive in any given month, so if you ARE ovulating, you don't necesarily need to have any "extras" your body will take care of it itself, if you are lucky that month.

3. i'm glad you are having fun with sex and adding some toys, that will definitely make you "wetter" and maybe O more, however the old theory is that the woman needs to O in order to increase the chances of conception, well that's not true.  30% of all women have never had an orgasm (I feel eternally sorry for them) however that doesn't mean that they can't conceive.  Actually I think the pressure of ttc makes me O less and I believe I got pregnant in one of those times where I didn't O.  I usually O when I'm not trying and its just for pure fun like now, sex is pure fun.

4. if you want to have a normal and healthy pregnancy, you have to make sure that your body is healthy and you are living very "naturally"  I don't trust any chemicals, pills, anything in your body that can cause a reaction.  I would stay away from anything artificial like mucinex or preseed, and just go at it like you did when you were not trying and limit any medications that you are currently taking or stop them entirely let your body detox.

The only thing I have tried out of everything you listed were the ept's and they were awesome!! They were always accurate for me and I wish I had bought stock in them too. I bought 20 of them for 16 dollars (that inlcuded shipping) and they were always accurate. =)  I have never heard of mucinex but I have heard of women using robitussin. It makes your cm thinner and stretchier and helps the sperm get to where they need to be easier. But I heard you should only use the plain robitussin with no other letters after it as that may cause you to dry up! The only active ingredient should be guaifenesin.
Awww! TJ will be a good big brother one day! =) I hope you get that BFP soon girl! I think it's great when siblings are close in age. My little brother and sister are 23 months apart and they do everything together! Jeremiah and this baby will be I think 18 or 19 months apart!

One more thing, what is a multispeed bullet? (I think I know, just not positive here...lol)

I've used opk's. The trick to them is that when you see the line it doesn't exactly mean its a positive..not until it gets as dark or darker then the control line....then of course that means you ar going to o inthe next 12-36 (i think?) hours, but that's good cause you bd then and the sperm is there and waiting when the egg comes.

I got the ept's from early-pregnancy-test.com and they sucked!!!! I got the sticks not the strips and they didn't give me a + at all, i was 4 days late pretty sure i was preggo and used a opk and that's how i found out i was pregnant

preseed is expensive, both pregnancies i got pregnant first time using it and opk....did it help? i don't know

I have never heard of usign mucinex to concieve..............the stuff for colds right?? Helps break up mucus?? I am very curious as to what you've heard about that:) I have never tried preeed, not sure what it is , sorry:( I also have never used OPK's(again sorry) As for EPT'S OMG I should have bought stock in them, lol. They were very accurate for me when I was acually pregnant. And when used correctly.
"Pearls"? LMAO as im picturing it. Sounds interesting though, you should forward me some info:) I hope what little I could contribute help maybe a little:)
