Also, like the other ladies say I would start a prenatal vitamin.  It definitly is possible to become pregnant right after stopping your birth control, so I would use protection if you don't want to get pregnant right away.  But then again, it could take a few months or so, it just all depends on your body.  I forgot to add, that when I was getting my period after the pill I began spotting about 3 days before.  Just another change I wanted to add.  Good luck TTC!

I came off the pill last year and i have been very very hormonal but apart from that i havent noticed any differences really, sometimes my periods are heavier and more painful and i get a few more spots when AF is due.
Bear in mind that your periods cycle may change to it will may take you a few months to notice a pattern as it is likely that your cycle length may change apart from that no difference really but everyones body is different and will react in different ways. Make sure you start taking Folic Acid or a parental vitamin when you start TTC.
Good luck!

I was on the pill for about 7 years too. I went off last November. My periods went right back to their normal 28-30 day cycles. Never missed one. My AF even stayed pretty light. The only thing that was different for me after the pill was that my skin became oilier and I could feel my ovualation pains. We didn't start actively ttc-ing till April/May (temping, bding every other day, etc) Just found out last week that we are pregnant. So I would say it took us about 7 months in total since quitting the pill for it to happen.

Good luck. :)

When I got off the pill I did not have a period for a year and a half. I waited 6 months before I went to my doc. She gave me provera to start my period and to hopefully jump start ovulation. well after 3 months on Provera I stopped taking it because I was having really bad mood swings. I did not have a period for 6 more months and then I finally had one on my own. I had 3 long cycles and my doc told me I was probably not ovulating so she wanted me to do provera for 3 months to regulate my period. Well the day I was suppose to start Provera again I decided to take a pregnancy test just for kicks and it was positive. 9 months later I had the most beautiful baby girl. And after I had DD I got a Copper IUD because I never want to take hormonal birthcontrol again. It really messed me up.

I would stop the pill now if I were you just to make sure your cycles are regular when you do ttc. Good luck with everything:)

I too was on the pill for 7 1/2 years, when we stopped is when we decided to TTC.  I am going to explain my experience, which may or may not be the same for you.  I actually stopped the pill in the middle of the pack, which triggered my period to start right away and it lasted 4 days (when on the pill, my periods were 3-4 days and light).  Then my period came 4 1/2 weeks later, so about 5 days late (however based on cervical mucus it was on time).  That period lasted a week with heavy cramping, which continued to be like that for every other period when off the pill.  Then my next period was then almost 7 weeks later, so about 3 weeks late.  I never got a period after that, though I took an HPT 5 weeks and 2 days later and it was negative.  I assumed I wasn't pregnant, but then 3 1/2 weeks later I was in the ER w/ heavy cramping and bleeding and it turns out I was miscarrying.  I don't think that had anything to do with being on the pill before, but it took me around 3 months after getting off the pill to get pregnant.  After my m/c it took 4 months to get pregnant again and I am now about 9 1/2 weeks along.  TMI, but when I went off the pill, I began experiencing egg white cervical mucus (EWCM) around the time I ovulated.  I always got my period exactly 14 days after getting the last bit of EWCM.  So if you see that, that is when you are or about to be fertile.  You may not get it, but in case you do that's a good sign.  Also, the day the doctor believes I conceived was the day after the last day I got EWCM.  So your period may be irregular at first, but it will take time.  It can also take the average couple 1 year to conceive their first child.  My OBGYN did say that as soon as you want to TTC to stop the pill, because it won't affect your fertility it just may mess up your cycle.  I just wanted to cover all the aspects off TTC because it is something I wish I knew when getting off the pill.
