What is happening here?

Hey, well I'm 16 weeks and 6 days and I've been noticing for the past 2 weeks my discharge has been extra white and pretty thick. This may sound gorss but, You know when you're on your period and you can kinda feel when something came out? It's almost kind of like that. I can feel like a gush coming out and I get so scared and run to the bathroom and everytime it's just a big spot of very white, gluey discharge, but pretty thick.  I've noticed that somedays there's no smell at all, and some days it just smells like... well, discharge...but as far as that "fishy" smell it's not there, so I don't know what this can be, but has this happened to anyone during their pregnancy??? I go to the doctor's today to find out the baby's gender so I will be sure to ask but just wanted to hear from other women as well.

fsantiago, it is annoying and it can leave a smell behind. Have you tried using baby wipes or something after you use the restroom? That might help to freshen you up! LOL!

I was just thinking today that this was really weird...Third pregnancy and I didn't have this the the others...Its not a nasty smell but there is an odor...Discharge is not as much as some of you ladies but its there...I was just about to post a question about it when I read this...I thought I had some sort of infection or something...Doesn't itch at all but the odor is rather annoying...

Ohhh okay. I'm so glad that's normal, there's just so many things that I'm not used to, this is my first pregnancy that went this far so it's like sometimes I freak out. But thanks everyone!! I'll keep you updated on what I am having.

Also...my midwife told me that if you have any type of bacteria up there, the plug will dislodge some of itself to release the germs. The plug always rebuilds itself in this situation. Thought that was kinda cool.

Completely normal Miko! Just yesterday I went to the bathroom and found the biggest glob of discharge ever! (gross, I know) I of course freak out everytime this happens, but it's normal and annoying at times. It happens to me about 3-4 times a week. It's especially worse when my husband and I have had relations. My midwife said as long as it's not green, smelly, on tinged with blood, it's fine. Can't wait to hear what you are having!

This is normal during pregnancy.  Your discharge amount will vary from day to day.  I have to wear panty liners all thoughout pregnancy because of this.  I never feel fresh when I'm pregnant.  Infact, I normally bathe twice a day when I'm pregnant for that reason.  UGH!
