What should i expect at 13 weeks?

Hello ladies,

I am 13 weekks today and i'm not sure what to expect whilst going into my 2nd trimester.
I've been trying to look it up on the internet but i keep coming accross sites for pregnant woman carrying girls but i might not be carrying a girl, it could be a boy but i cannot find anything on boys.

Does anyone know what i should expect for either sex?
What symptons should i expect?

Faya I seem to be goin tho same as u am 16 weeks now tho ... beginning starving all time .... gave up smoking Wen found out and have been dying from man flu only way of explaining .. had it from near another beginning of pregnancy... coughing fits to wear I was coughing up blood and got told I had bronchitis ... believe its coming bc as well last to days bein dying ... when cough as well sometimes feel pain above pelvis think its from straining muscles

before i found out i was having a boy, i was hungry ALL the time lol! I would eat and still not be satisfied! I gained alot of weight in my first trimester. I had horrible nausea, mostly a sour stomach! Never threw up! I was tired all the time, but forced myself to go to the gym and after that i was pretty engergetic...atleast for an hour or so lol. I started thinking i was having a boy once i notcied my husband was packing on some weight too lol! Ive had weird cravings...mozzarella cheese with sour cream, anything pasta, salty foods, sour candy...you name it! I never really cared for sweets. Now that i am further along all i want is sweets! Do alot of walking, it really helps!

Thank you for all your advice ladies, its very nice to know that i have people that i can talk to as this is my first and i'm a little nerveous about everything.

I know my baby is energetic because i saw it on the scan monitor, so that could be why i'm so tired, i feel like that i cannot be bothered to do anything, that might just be me being lazy.

Is that all i should expect...tiredness?

It was weird when i first found out about baby, i was hungry every 5 minutes, now it varies, sometimes its 3 meals aday, big ones though or i snack throughout the day.

I haven't been well for the past week, i feel like i have the man flu! I can normaly ignore the cold and just get on with it but it seemed diffiicult.
Does giving up smoking really help the baby? The reason i ask this is that i gave up when i found out and i've been paying for it with coughing fits, i keep thinking that i'm hurting the little one with the couging, i get cramp pains alot aswell.
The doctor said not to worry about the pain as its the baby moving and other parts of my body moving to allow growth.

There's plenty of old wives tales that will tell you that a certain craving or symptom or way of carrying means a particular sex, but they are just tales. For every one of them, there will be someone who experienced the opposite! My pregnancy and both my mother's pregnancies are almost identical, including "carrying low" yet she was carrying girls, and I've got a boy on board....

You are entering the best part of the pregnancy.. you are starting to show, but you aren't yet uncomfortable, you'll start to feel the baby move sometime soon, if you've been feeling tired, you may find some energy returns... enjoy the next 13 or so weeks... I miss them!

I haven't had any sickness apart from when i was unwell.

Is it normal to want to eat loads of egges and pasta and drink loads of juice and milk, oh and want loads of salf like crisps?

every pregnancy differs. you should hopefully start feeling ten times better with morning sickness on a Hault. congratulations on your pregnancy
