Who is due late dec early jan? Did you started to do your nursery yet???

I have an idea. I am starting to finally do my first nursery!!! Yeeeehhhh!!! Something that I can’t find anywhere on the internet is pictures of nurseries (I mean real people nurseries). We are on the budget and cannot afford to go crazy ... But at the same time I try my best to put everything together and match as much as I can.  I also love to look at the pictures that people post sometimes of their nurseries for ideas and advices. I grew up in a different country and we never had nurseries or anything like that, so it's all new and exiting for me. So i was wondering if any of you want to start sharing your nursery pictures!

Well I'm due in October and have done some things in the nursery. Yup, not done yet. Had to return out crib and I'm super miffed about it. The crib I want now it more money, of course, so we have to wait to get it.

Anywho, I have WONDERFUL tips on how to save money when doing a nursery if you'd like to hear them.

1). Check out thrift stores! I got a dresser there for $35 and it was solid wood, sturdy and nice! You can even paint a dresser you find if it has little imperfections.

2). Oops Paint at Home Depot. Sometimes Home Depot messes up a paint (doesn't make the correct shade for someone) or the buyer doesn't pick their paint up. This paint goes in the OOPS shelf and it's only $5 a gallon!!! My entire house was painted in Oops paint, with the exception of a couple rooms.

3). Consignment shops- you can find bassinet, changing table, decor, bedding, etc. from a good, clean consignment shop. Children's Orchard is one of the best, and most decently priced ones, I have found.

4). Skip the bedding sets!!! You can't even use half the stuff in those sets anyway. Instead buy your sheets, crib skirt and window treatments separately. I would check out ebay because I got my crib skirt for only $.99. I also got three pink crib sheets for less than $10 altogether! I bought my window treatments at Target.

5). Wall decor- again, check consignment or thrift stores. Find a theme you love and go with it. Mine is a shabby chic room. I have a lot of glass pieces on the dresser. I also found wood shelves at the thrift store for less than $2.

Good luck.
