Am 20 wks 3 days with my 4 th I was induced with my other three an honestly yes contracts are painful but its not that bad..an belive me once u see ur lil one u will forget it all..my first was 9 lbs 4 oz an I ended up with a 4 inch epsidome an 17 1/2 hours labor an I would do it all over again for that moment I heard him cry..in fact I did do it again two more times working on number 3
I'm getting induced after 39 weeks. Baby is measuring two weeks ahead of schedule. Plus I opted for it because it will be easier to make sure our three year old is at his grandparents the night before instead of rushing him over there and rush to get me to a hospital. He actually came two days before my induction with him. I don't see anything wrong with getting inductions at 39 weeks. I don't agree with getting one earlier because of being uncomfortable.
Well hopefully it's not as horrible or painful..
That's unmedicated! Stupid smart phone. Lol
Thank you girls :) either way I know it's all worth it at the end...
I was induced all three times, two of those undedicated. It's really not that horrible or at least my experience wasn't.
I didn't think it was too bad and I'm being induced next Wed again...you will be fine love
It's because pitocin (the induction hormone) makes your contractions unnaturally strong and close together. My sister was induced and she labored naturally. It just depends on the woman and your pain tolerance. Try to keep moving around during labor. Pace, rock, squat, lunge, rock ect. It reduces pain. Just try stay relax and don't worry what had happened to others. Worrying wont help with pain (fear tension pain cycle). That's the best advise I can give you. Good luck and hope your bp stays low!
It's forced dilating and contracting, and pitocin makes contractions painful (I wasn't induced but got a hefty amount of pitocin pumped to me at about 3-4cms). Either way, you'll get through it, and you'll be holding your little one before you know it.
