Will i go into labor?

Im 38 weeks today, went to the dr and im not having any contractions or even starting to dilate.I know i still have two weeks till the 40 mark but my Dr said that if  he had to bet his money hed bet hell still see me next week at my regular appointment. I know that even if i was starting to It doesnt mean i will go into labor because you can be dilated for a couple weeks before labor even starts, is it possible that i will Start to dilat?  or will i just go over my due date? Helppp!?

It all depends on baby. With my daughter I dilated to a 1 at 36 weeks and didn't dilate anymore. I had her at 40 weeks 6 days. With my son I dilated to a 1 at 39 weeks and had him on his due date at 4am.
