After labor how long do you have to wait to have sex? I got 2 stitches.
Typically, it is safe to wait 6 weeks postpartum to have sex. BUT you also want to make sure that you have been cleared by your doctor. The stitches will not last for 6 weeks. Also, remember that you are most fertile post baby. So be sure to use contraceptives or you could become pregnant again-which doesn't give your uterus and body time to heal.
It was 2+ months for me. But i had that afyer birth bleeding forever, and thwn got my period bacj right away, so it delayed time a lot.
You really should wait until your postpartum check up usually around 6 weeks. Prior to that you could risk reopening stitches, hurting yourself, or an infection
