Yes or No to an epidural?

Just wondering if any of you to be mommies have decided whether or not you are going to be getting an epidural?  I did with my first two, but I am thinking right now, that I am going to try to have this one without anything if possible!!

I'm planning on having my twins natural if I can.....as long as I have them vaginally but since I'm having two my chance of a C-Section went from 20% to 70%.....ughh

no way!
I'm rediculously scared of needles so I don't want any more of them stuck in me than they absolutely have to.  I'll take whatever it is that they can put in the IV line, but I'm not about to volunteer to be stabbed in my spine!

I loved my epidural of course they refused to give it to me until i was atleast 4cm....it took 2 days to get there, i was exhausted.....and in a lot of pain.  once i had that it was easier to relax a bit and then it was no time before my daughter came out.  i fully intend on getting one with this one too. i could imagine going through that kind of pain and process without one.  I give any one who can major props LOL...cuz i sure in hell could NEVER do it LOL

I've already had a natural, an epidural and a c-section.  This time I will be doing like i did with my last two...signing the consent forms for the epi in case it gets to be too much, but will make my wishes known that I want to try very hard to avoid one.  My fastest recovery was when I delivered natural, no drugs.

I'm not sure if I would want one or not.. but either way, it's already been decided for me.  I had a spinal fusion done when I was 15, so about 85% of my spine is fused together (ie: there's no way to get a needle in where it needs to go).  I suppose it makes the decision easier for me, huh?  =)

i'm only 3 months with my first 2 and the df and i have already talked about it. i'm definately getting the epi. i'm a big cry baby when it comes to pain sooo we figured it'd probably save me the stress and help to not stress out the babies as they're born.

After 12 hours of labor before a c section with my first, the nurse talked me into the epidural, and I was so grateful once it started working. ITs something that I was totally against before that, because I wanted the whole natural birth experience with just a little Staydol to take the edge off. But I had been up all night long having contractions that I barely got to sleep between and the epidural was a lifesaver for me. I was able to get some rest and relief from the pain, (I had a lot of back labor too), and then when it came time to do a c section because I stopped dilating at 5 1/2 cm and my little girl was partway in the birthcanal, I was already to go. They didnt have to knock me out.

I am going in with an open mind as far as drugs go. I want to see how I can handle the pain before I make any decisions about whether I want drugs or not. I'd like to do it all natural, but I'm not gonna force myself if the pain is unbearable. I want to enjoy my labor!

No to the epi then and no to the epi now...That's probably why I waited 11 years between the two...LOL

After I had my 1st son, I was really thinking about not getting a epid. if I were to ever get pregnant again. Well, the time has came, and I cant see myself doing it with out it.

I was able to go about 7-8 hours of hard labor without anything with the first two and then opted to get it.  Since this is my 3rd, I'm hoping labor will go faster and I'll be able to bear with it!!!
