a period during pregnancy?

My friend is about 10 weeks pregnant and is geting all the signs that her period is starting. She isn't cramping but shes bleeding. No pain though. Is there any such thing as a phantom period while your pregnant? I heard alot of people say that they have had them.

If she's not cramping that is a good sign. Like the last poster said though she does need to be checked out to make sure everything is ok. I bleed for almost 5 weeks straight during the beginning of my pregnancy and now have a healthy 14 month old daughter to show for it.

It is possible but her doctor needs to see her to make sure that everything is okay and nothing is wrong with her baby because cramping can usually mean something's wrong if they are period crapms.
