hii, im 15 years old and me and my boyfriend(who's 17) got a bit carried away when he stayed round and he got a boner which made me horny so i started to wank him off...i then stopped and said i can't he then finished himself off and ejaculated all over his hand and my bed. he then started to kiss me down and started to figer me without washing his hands really deep.
this was a week and a bit ago now and i was due my period three days ago.i told my best friend and she said you did know you can get pregnant doing that(whih i didn't know) and i just wondered if i should by a test or just hope for the best? i'm starting to really think it might be possible because i had morning sickness.please answer!thankyou.x

Like the previous 2 posters stated, sperm does NOT die once it hits the air and the chances are slim but possible.

If sperm dies when it hits the air then men wouldn't be able to have an accurate semen analysis because all of his sperm would be dead. My DH had one and we had to keep the sample warm and get it to the office within 45 minutes of collection, and I can tell you he had over 61 million sperm per one ml of semen. The reproductive endocrinologist I spoke to while having fertility issues, and many other specialists agree that sperm is dead once the semen is dried. It doesn't take long to dry while it's on your hand, which is why the likelihood of getting pregnant like this is slim. Test to ease your mind and see a doctor about birth control.

It is possible to get pregnant this way but not likely. Sperm doesn't exactly die as soon as it hits the air. The sperm does only live for a short period of time though when not in a moist warm environment but being on the skin can cause it to stay warm. You should take a test to ease your mind. If you are late then you can take a test with first morning urine and it should be pretty accurate by now. You are so young, so be careful and use protection. You can talk to your Dr about birth control confidentially too. Good luck

Thankyou for the quick response,and for informing me that sperm dies when in air...but is it still possible that i could be?
and thats not why im late cause she only told me todaii so i couldn't of been worried about it.x

i highly doubt you are...usually when sperm hits air it dies instantly....for sperm to live and for you to get pregnant it has to be the right enviroment and the exzact right temp...which is why women chart there temps when trying to have a baby....you can buy a test to reassure yourself but id say its going to come back neg....also your prob late because your stressing about it or thinking about it to much from what your friend told you....next time be sure to be very carefull your still very young and dont want to have a baby yet..if and when you do decide to have sex use protection and some type of b.c ..... good luck
