announcement

I wanna tell everyone about my pregnancy. My parents and close friends already know, same for my boyfriend. We're 10 weeks and have already had an ultrasound, and I get my blood work results back at my 13 week appt. Is it too early? I don't want to tell everyone and then have something go wrong.

I announced at 5 weeks. Its all about when you're ready.

It depends on you. Both pregnancies I told everyone as soon as I got that positive test. And the first didn't make it, but the support I had for it was amazing. My mom had 3 miscarriages in the past, my aunt with one, and my greatgrandmother had a few as well. So it was comforting to know I had their support, and it made it a lot easier to move on. So far this pregnancy is great, and I have 3 mo ths left, but still no guarantee that from now till then, or even after birth she'll be alright. Its a choice only you can make,  and if your comfotable with it then go ahead. Good luck on your pregnancy. I hope for a healthy baby for you.

The way I saw it, I chose to announce at 9wks bc if something DID happen I would have all that support from friends and loved ones and thats what I knew I would need. But I also believe the more people that know the more happy thoughts are focused on baby :) its really just a personal choice though. But there is no right or wrong time to announce :)

They say don't make it formal until you're outnifnthe first trimester so the 13-14week mark BUT if you feel all is going well  why not? Its ultimately a personal decision. With my first I waited until 18 weeks and then went ahead and announced gender at the same time. Close family and friends knew either right when i found out or at the 8 week mark.
