anyone else had this problem

I'm really annoyed my partners been told even though our daughter is not here he has to take his perternity leave because the manager needs eight weeks notice to change it but how is that possible

Yeah, he can't take it until after she's here. Thats the whole point of the leave. When are you due?

Here u can't take it untell the baby is born so my hubby send a letter in saying iam due the 8th and that he'll be taking it onces the back comes

No they can't make him take it he can give them notice like saying he will start it on your due date but its his decision not theirs.

That makes no sense the point of taking paternity leave is to bond with your child they can't force him to take his leave before that. He better speak up
