anyone have experience with beta blockers (Propranolol) during pregnancy??

Hi, i'm 17 weeks pregnant and wondering if it's safe to use beta blockers (Propranolol to be specific) to control my hypertension and anxiety.  I stopped during my first trimester which worked out ok but it's to the point now where my anxiety levels are getting way too high for my comfort.  Before i was pregnant, I took 20-40mg 3x week which worked out fine.  I'd love to hear from others with experience.  TIA

I have chronic hypertension, and I was under the assumption that there are only a few drugs that can be used during pregnancy to control it. I am on 250mg of Aldomet twice a day. I am not sure about the anxiety part of it though, hth :)

I have taken a beta blocker throughout my whole pregnancy currently on 400 mgs of acebutolol a day (was 800 mg I lowered it myself due to constant falling in blood pressure) I am on it for arrythmias and mitral valve prolapse.  My high risk ob said beta blockers are fine in pregnancy.
