asthma anypne?

Has anyone with asthma been told to continue?their daily affair treatment plus albuterol as needed? The reality is that I have had allergic rhinitis during the whole pregnancy, I am 18 weeksand the last two days have been horrible w my breathing. So,  I used my rescue nebulizer yesterday and today with albuterol. I feel much better,  but curiosity intrigued me and I started Googling about the risks of not taking meds vs taking the meds and they both blow. Now, I feel like a terrible mommy but at the same time I know my angel needs my lungs to be strong...I feel like i should?stop taking them all but am already 18 weeks...wouldn't the effects of the advair be there already if any?

Keep taking what the doc tells you to take and request a pulmonary specialist if it's giving you trouble. It can be a complication during pregnancy...I actually have an asthma doc and a high-risk OB following me this pregnancy, and they've said they'll hospitalize me if it gets bad in my third trimester. First trimester asthma tried to kill me off, and my little one has been exposed to a lot of medication, but all of it is recommended by my pulmonary specialist, who knows what meds are likely to have the least effect on the baby. He actually switched me from advair to symbicort, and from albuterol to xopenex. 24 weeks now and my little girl is doing just fine. They do need us to give them oxygen, so take your meds if you need to.
