We are expecting out first son in Jan and have 3 names we can't decide on.  We definately want Ivan for a middle name and our last name is Market (just like it sounds)  The first is Dayton, Mason and (sorry I stole this from one of you but it's cool Jaxon.  What do u think?

General Hospital has someone named Jax on it, not Jaxon.  I like Mason, but my cousin named her little boy that so I can't use it.  DH and I can NOT decide on a boy name at all so I'm kinda hoping we have  girl.  Good luck!

Thanks for everyones comments, the only reason we have Ivan for a middle name is because is my decesed brother and dh deceased fathers names so we thought to keep it.  DH is iffy on Mason (which I love) Market cuz he thinks it sounds like a cement store...lol.  I hadn't realized that Dayton (DH pick reminds me of NASCAR which we don't watch) would make the initial DIM...Glad I asked:)  I will print this off for DH to see since he want ppls opinions but thinks we get a biased veiw when asking our frens and fam especially when they know which names we each prefer.  Thanks alot ladies.  Apparently their is someone on General Hospital named Jaxon..I just like the spelling:) It is sorta middle ground if we can't agree.

I love the names Jaxon and Mason! Very strong masculine names!

I'm going to be blunt about Ivan... sorry but it reminds me of "Ivan the Terrible".

I agree with Avanaar. The first names don't really flow very well with Ivan because of the last consonant.

But if I had to vote I'd say Mason sounds the best.

I like the way Dayton Market sounds ...but as ashiepooh pointed out, his initials would be D.I.M.  Sets him up for teasing. ; ;

I don't like Mason Market because I don't like the sound of the two M's together.

In my opinion, Jaxon Market sounds the best.

However ...(and don't take this the wrong way ...I'm *super* picky about how names sound), I don't like the way any of them sound with the middle name.  The N sound at the end of the first and middle name just doesn't "flow" for me.

In the end, what matters most is that you and hubby are happy with the name you pick!!  Good luck!!  =D

Mason Ivan Market - sounds, i know the initials would be mim...  but I like how it rolls off the tongue

Of course  Dayton Ivan Market sounds good too, but I don't like the initials....  dim..
