back from 16 week appt

not much to report on...i asked my ob some general questions today....we were able to find the find the heartbeat (144 before it moved) but the baby is very active...she had to chase it down 4x to get a good reading...she also pointed out to me what it sounds like when the baby is moving in the womb so now i have something else to listen for if i cant find the heartbeat....the preg so far is good...my uterus is right where it should be and baby appears healthy and active

so my only question from today is...is it true that girls are more active then boys in the womb? i have heard many women say (including the receptionist at the ob office) that they knew it was a girl because it was so active...i dont care what im having either way but i have wanted a girl for 2 years now and since this is my last preg i really hoping to have a girl since i already have a boy

well next appt is 4/26...the anatomy scan when ill know for sure what is in my belly....im so excited...i hope the tiny one is healthy

im pregnant with a girl and she is SO active. ive had multiple ultrasound techs tell me that she is very active...when i had an ultrasound once at savalife the lady watching said she was the most active baby she'd seen at that age. (9-10 weeks)...i feel her pretty much nonstop all day. she takes little naps but other than that she's always moving.

My son wouldn't stop moving, once I started feeling him move I didn't sleep much because he didn't seem to ever sleep.

A friend of mine who had a girl and boy said they were both about the same as far as being active, the boy may have been a little more active, but not sure.  Every baby is going to be different.

i think everybody is right...i have heard so many reverses so who knows...as one person said its either a boy or a girl...50/50....and im happy either way

i honestly wish i could remember more of my sons preg but that was 6 years ago and all i remember was no morning sickness...and no issues until the end when i started retaining water so bad my legs would go numb but by then i was already due and my crazy doc made me wait until i was 41 weeks to sign the induction papers but the day he signed those papers my water broke...thats about all my memories of my sons pregnancy :/

I've only had boys...my first was more active than my second in utero.  I don't think it has anything to do with gender, personally.

Having had 3 boys and 2 girls, in my personal experience my boys were FAR more active than my girls.  I'm glad all went well, Im totally stoked for you that things have been going so well this time around.  I too am counting down the days, I'm getting more excited by the minute :)

I can definitely feel my little girl move sooner than my boys but my boys were super active. I am not sure if there is any truth to it but it could very well be true!

My little girl is very active. I feel her several times a day for more than 20 minutes each time. Her kicks are pretty strong to I started feeling them as thumps at 15 wks. Hope you get your little girl!

Hmmm my daughter had more active periods over the day, but my son kicks harder when he IS moving. So I would have to say that for my kids, they were both very active but in different ways. Can't wait until you find out what you're having and I'm SO glad things were uneventful today...you're moving right along. S/he'll be here before you know it!!!
