back injury and future pregnancy

Hi im 19 years old and iv been with my partner for nearly 4 years... about 3 and half years ago i was in a cas accident..... i suffer from and a spinal injury (L3,L4,L5) and pelvic. the pain is down my lower back/spine, into my pelvis back and front, pubic bone and down my right leg. my partner has down reseach and believes its not good for me to fall pregnant as he is scared for me and the end results. i always wanted kids and we really want them now but he doesnt want to risk me im not sure what to do because i really want to have a baby. is there some advise that can help us. i go through everyday pain and also go through bad pain every few months that hospitalises me. he is very kind and doesnt let me do anything in the house i also cant work but i want a baby so what should we do?

I agree with Annie. Your doctor would be best to advise you on that. In my own personal experiance (I have a messed up lower spine and pelvis) and it just caused more frequent pain on the right side and makes it hard to walk. What does he think pregnancy will do to you? See if he's sure he wants children, and if you're both really ready see a doctor and talk about it.

I'd be talking to a doctor, not just to someone you know who has done some research.  Then, I'd talk to him about whether he wants kids, now or later.  It's really two issues, one being whether you are physically wise to do it, and the other whether he is ready to have children.  19 is pretty young.
