bad dog

does anyone else have a behavior problem with their dog in regards to getting a room ready for the baby? i keep a dog crate in what will soon be the nursery but used the room mostly for storage and have gotten it cleaned out slowly.  now that it is empty my dog keeps peeing all over the floor.
i have washed the walls and even started painting and i was planning on getting new carpeting for it, but i have a hard time paying for a carpet my dog is just going to **** all over. i have no other place to put my dog, because i have another one who stays in the living-room and is very old and dying.  i just cant tell if the dog can tell that a huge change is coming and started acting up or what her deal is.

Yea, I would try getting her used to a new spot before the baby comes.

The dog is feeling like it's space is being taken from it, so it's becoming territorial, if you can't get the dog used to a new place being their home, the dog could also become destructive to new things coming into that room that it's not used to, which is y when we moved I made the rule my dogs were only allowed in the second room now babies room if they were laying down, so now they lay down if im in there doing anything for more then a second

i was actually planning on keeping her in there, until this happened because she is also an older dog that my mother in law had before she passed.  but now ill have to try to move her out.  :(

The dog is noticing you're cleaning out their living area and probably knows they will be moved out of the room so it's marking its territory. You just need to find a new spot for his/her crate. It's not that he/she is a bad dog, they just notice the change, they'll adjust soon enough, just give your dog time.
