bedrest :(

So last night I had some sharp pains in my back and when I went 2 the bathroom I was spotting bright red. I went 2 hospital and while they were monitoring me I started having contractions. They ended up hooking me 2 an IV and giving me a shot 2 stop the contractions. I'm now on bedrest for a few days. I'm really scared cause my back is still hurting some. I'm only 29 weeks and I have never had 2 get shot or had contractions this early b4. I have never had a misscarage b4 does this stuff happen b4 u have one? They said the baby was doing fine last night but I'm terrified right now

My girlfriend was put on bed rest 4 different times during her pregnancy.   She used to lay on the couch with the laptop and email me every 10 mins... when I was at my desk and able to answer her emails I think it really helped her out.  maybe you can catch up on some reading while you are limited to bed rest....

Thank u 4 ur comments and support. I have laid around all day and I feel 4like those women who get put on bedrest 4 months. I have not had any bleeding today and no contractions but when I get up 2 use the bathroom I have a little pressure. I just hope he can stay in there a little longer

Because they have stopped the contractions you can breath easy and do what they say, bed rest is best! if you feel contractions again you know that you need to go in right away but for now its not so much risking MC its the risk of preterm labor and like i said they stopped the labor and thats a good thing... some womans bodies dont stop with the meds and yours did... so as of now you will most likely be monitored a little closer and if there is any increased risk they will most likley admit you to hospital for closer monitoring but as of right now bed rest should be enough to keep baby safe, but you do have to stay calm and be reasured that your contractions are stopped... so take it easy, take care and congrats on your pregnancy!

Best thing for you right now is to not stress about it.   stress is not going to help you get any better.  Try to relax and trust that the drs are going to have you and your baby in mind when they tell you that you need bed rest for the next little bit.     I know it's hard to do but I think that you need to try.
