ok  I am 39 weeks and im scheduled to get induced monday morning at 6. but heres the thing, today (since its after 12) is the last day of spring break so all my babysdaddy family is going back to where they live which is out of town so nobody will get to see her really. what if I go in tonight? do u think they will induce me? I mean its only one day before. please dont comment with negative feed back.

p.s. I went to the doctor monday and I was 3 cm dilated and 60% effaced!

You can try but like was mentioned above, they almost never induce on the weekends in most hospitals.

I also personally wouldn't want to induce when there's a bunch of people around to visit - newborns need to be protected from the germy masses of well-meaning visitors and while a few family members and good friends are good for the mommy's morale after baby..it's really best for baby to limit visitors :-).

That is up to your dr.  Some will and some won't.  Goodluck!  Congrats early.

Unless your in active labor they wont take you early...sorry :(

They usually will not induce on weekends and unless your water has broken and you are not in active labor they will send you home. Plus there are no guarantees that even if they do induce you, you'll give birth within the next 24 hours. Most of the time during inductions with the whole process it can take 48 hours.
