i have been on birth control for about 2 years now, i just finished my period about 2 weeks ago and i havnt been able to get my new perscription of birth control for this month yet because i dont have the money, however a few days after my period had ended my boyfriend came in me even though i hadnt started taking my new month of pills, is there any way that i could be pregnant or is the birth control still affective

Wow reading a few of those gave me hope. I've been off the pill since the early part of Sept. had my period on the 20th. I know I was ovulating on the 4th of this month so my husband and I "tried" all last week. I have been so sick feeling the last few days, tired, bloated, headaches. Took a hpt but it was neg. I think it was too early. I'm not suppose to start until next Thursday. So hopefully I can be lucky like the stories ya'll have told. My dr. told me yesterday that I should give myself a year. but that's hard to do when you acutally are "trying". I was also told my symptons could be just my system trying to get normal after being on bc for the past two years....any of ya'lls opinions would be great!!

Same thing happened to me. I stopped taking my b/c at the end of july. I never got the new pack so I was waiting till the next time around. My boyfriend and I got back together on august 12th and had sex that night. The end of August came around, but my period didn't. I found out I was pregnant Sept. 5th.

The pill is only in your body for 24 hours, that's why we have to take one every day.  There probably wasn't anything left by the next day.  You very well could be pregnant.  My cousin got pregnant in the two weeks she was off birth control after being on it for over 10 years.  Get checked out just in case but don't start taking your new prescription until you're sure you're not pregnant.

There is a chance! I was on the pill and was to start my new pack on july 16th  but didnt, and I found out that I was prego and few weeks later! I had goten prego that week....if you think you are i would go the doc and have b/t done.
