Everyone carries differently and weight gain/baby bump size varies on everyone. There is no "perfect" because all women are different sizes and shapes to begin with. At your appointments, your Dr. measures you, and if the Dr.'s don't seem concerned about anything, then you shouldn't be either. ;D Good luck!
Thats the same thing that happened with my daughter, i was carrying very small and she was 8ls 8oz. it all depends on your body and how you carry. I have carried small with all of my pregnancies including this one and all 3 have been over 7lbs. And im still growing number four!
It doesn't have to be any size. There Is no set size on how big you have to get. You are perfect for your own baby and body. When I went to deliver at 39 weeks I looked like I was 4 months pregnant and my baby was 6 pounds 12 ounces. Don't worry about this.
Someone else posted this same question and had a whole bunch of answers I think will reassure you.
I was 36 weeks pregnant and went with my friend who was 20 weeks to her obgyn and her doctor looked at me and said "let me guess you are about 30 weeks." When I said no, I'm 36 weeks. He said, "oh you must be having a small baby then." My daughter was born 3 weeks later and was 1 oz less than 7 lbs.
hi,
it may be that the weight you have gained is all baby and that is why you are so small and neat, everyone is different how big or small they get. If the scan showed everything is ok then don't stress yourself. One of the mums at the school my kids go to, didn't look full term when she was, she could have said she was 20 or so weeks, her baby matched her bump size though she was a 6lb baby.
Honestly, don't worry, just enjoy your pregnancy!
