bleeding after miscarriage??

Hi Ladies,

I just hoped maybe some-one could give me some advice.

Unfortunatly i started to have a miscarriage on the 19th nov, but im still bleeding after like 17days is this normal? I had a vaginal u/s last week which confirmed there is not sac in my womb (as there previously was) but im just a little concerned that im still bleeding my hcg is now down to 153 the nurse said although there not going down as quickly as theyd like they are going down which is a good sign. Im not at the hosp for another week for another hcg check but just need a few words of wisdom.
I would have been 5 weeks when i miscarried so the nurse said this was very early.
Thanks in advance x

I had an early m/c a few years ago, it happened naturally and i bled for almost a month.  It took quite a while for my hcg to reach zero.  BUT- when it finally did, I conceived 8 days later, and had a healthy, normal pregnancy.  Best wishes.

Some women bleed for longer than others. Because your hcg is dropping slowly could be the reason you are still bleeding. I bled for about ten days I was six weeks pregnant when I miscarried but everyone is different.

You might still have some left in your system. I had a D&C on the 19th as well and am no longer bleeding as of last week and my levels or completely down. You may need to have the dr check you again. Just my advice. but everyone is different. Im so sorry for your loss.
