blood type

I have O- blood and I have just found out that I am expecting. My mum suffered various miscarriages due to this reason as her body rejected the baby.  I'm scared incase I do the same as it's just nature. What can I do to prevent this? Someone please help.

1st pregnancy will be fine but will still get shots. There has to have been a crossover of a positive  blood group baby into your system before your body starts to attack a positive baby this can be a miscarriage, birth or abortion that wasnt treated with the anti d.  My blood was tested at 10 weeks to see if the babies blood group could be determined it came back that my baby is resus neg also so this preg will be so much less stressful for me don't have to worry about little knocks or tiny bleeds like I had with other 3 preg im so glad the test has come about since my last baby 4yrs ago.

I'm o- as well I started bleeding at 10 weeks and had to get my first rh shot another at 28 weeks & I'll have another at delivery don't stress that's a big thing. With these shots you shouldn't have any problems I'm 31 weeks with a healthy baby girl
