Yes. My youngest was born on the 5th and lost too much weight in the first week as my milk came in late. At the hospital they advised me to top up each feed with formula. Im now trying to build up my supply and wean him off formula by bf him a little more each day. So far so good and he has not had problems with nipple confusion other than screwing up his face a little when he switches from one to the other.
My milk is in now,it was just he cracked me so bad i had to go right to formula in a bottle,he has no problem taking the bottle,i had original planned on just pumping due to my work schedule. I just wasnt sure if i could give him both.
I did both sum say it may cause nipple confusion but not for my lo he came out suxing his lil hand lol he'll latch on anything lol but he is 14wks n i still bf n formula feed. Nthn wrong with it n if yur having milk production problems look into getting fenugreek tea or capsules it helps wit that. Walgreens carry's it. Congrats momma n goodluck
Ok thank you. The first two i ended up being only to formula feed, with this one my milk is actually coming in so i wanted to try, pumping is so much easier then letting him latch..
Definitely! I bought formula to supplement incase something like that happens until I get my BM back if they will take back to bf you could go back to bf only or you can just supply what you can with pumping and then supplement with formula when you need or want to!
