breast tenderness

So I've always heard that breast tenderness is a sign of pregnancy.  About a week ago, I spoke with my gyno about some irregular bleeding.  Since I'd been having some other problems, she said that it could just be that my system was so shocked it didn't really know how to react, and I just bled.  She did recommend that I take a pregnancy test, just to be safe, since I am on the Pill.  Well, I didn't : (

Yesterday, when I got out of the shower and went to put on a t-shirt, I noticed some nipple tenderness - not actual pain, but just discomfort when the fabric rubbed against the nipples.  I'm wondering if this is consistent with the breast tenderness anyone else has experienced, because I didn't follow her advice on taking a pregnancy test and now I'm a little worried.  Any thoughts?

The most common cause of pain in breast during pregnancy is fibrocystic breast changes. Such changes involve swelling of very tiny cysts, filled with fluid, present in the fibrous tissue of the breast.

iv got the same breast tenderness and im on the pill ..... took a test an it said im not but iv now foung out if your on the pill the test can tell you wrong :S

ohhhh i found out friday i'm pregnant...one of the very first signs for me was my super tender breasts...and now the nipples. even wearing a bra at first makes them sore....the only thing that's even semi comfy is a sports bra. joyrenee is right....take a test! it's the only way you'll know for sure

You can become pregnant during anal sex. Using a tampon doesn't matter, sperm can swim around it.

Both of you just need to take tests! LOL! That's the only way you'll know...

Girl I am in the same boat...my boobs hurt so bad and really i didn't have vaginal sex...we did it anal...hurt like hell. Before we got to far with it I put a tampon in just in case, but I wasn't smart..i keep thinking if anything got on the tip of that tampon...i just shoved it inside of me...do you think that there is a way that I could be pregnant?
