breeched baby!!!!

Well I am 34 weeks and this is my first pregnancy, at 31 weeks I had an ultra sound because I was in a car accident and we found out the baby was still in breeched position. The doctor said we would check again at 36 weeks, I am worried because my baby girl still hasn't turned and after 36 weeks my doc said there is 1% chance she will turn.. should I be patient, should I worry, or does anyone know of any tricks to make her turn???=\

I have an ultrasound next week (36 weeks) to check if mine is still breech. A lot of the home remedy ideas have been mentioned here already but you can find more at spinningbabies.com. My doc suggested trying inversions in which you tilt your upper body so that your hips are higher than your shoulders - he didn't seem as drastic an angle was needed as suggested by the webpage but to each their own.

If ours hasn't turned, we are going to try an ECV (external cephalic version) between 37 and 39 weeks. Some literature seems to indicate that it could be attempted more like 36 weeks but we have agreed with our doctor we only want to try after he's full term since it can cause labor to start. Only if that doesn't work will we opt for a c-section. I do have a big aversion to having a c-section but the most important thing is the healthy of baby and that I am healthy enough to be a good mom. Keeping my fingers crossed, for both of us!

Sorry if someone already mentioned this but i haven't had chance to read through all comments... my first was head down whole time then at my 38/39 week appointment she flipped to breach. The hospital put me straight on monitors to monitor the baby and doctor tried to turn her. unfortunately we had no luck cause there wasn't much room but he said if he got to me one week earlier there was a very good chance he could have turned her. im surprised the hospital hasn't tried turning Your bub while u still have time.

Ashleigh529: I swim at least 2-3 times a weeks, that will probably increase since I am now on maternity leave (: thank goodness! I will also try the fetal position, anything that could possibly help I am open to.
Starshine36: I am glad I am not the only one experiencing this since I'm a first time mommy I'm just naturally more worries ably everything, I keep wondering when I will drop and when my little one will go head down, its constantly on my mind and I'm so worried about it, because I don't wanna be cut, I really want to have a natural birth especially being its my first. When is your due date?

I'm 31 weeks and my doctor told me we will do an U/S at 36weeks to check the position and everything. She said until then there's plenty of room for baby to move around in there. I'm pretty sure this one is still changing position daily, I can feel the kicks everywhere. So I'm not going to worry until there's a reason to be worry. Worst case is a c-section, as long as the baby is healthy that's all it matter :)

Hi.. I'm 33 weeks (almost ) and found this week
That baby is breech too.. I'm a little worried also.
I know he wasn't breech a few weeks ago . This
Is my 3rd baby so they may turn him. Mw says
He's got loads of room to turn back.  Apparently
most baby's do turn on their own. Only 4% don't.
You can try on hands and knees rock back and forward for 10 mins twice a day. Try laying flat lifting bum up with pillows.. when baby is most active ..gives her more room to turn back.  Cold compress on top of bump... makes baby move away from the cold..(not tried this yet).
Fingers crossed that baby turns for us both.. x x
