Yep, your hubby is right. They, as far as I know, will not allow a natural birth after more than one c section.
I will get pics of our puppies posted this weekend. The other 5 dogs will be at hour home as of tonight as well. We will have them for 2 to 3 weeks until we can find them homes, or until the other gals friend comes up from Carson City Nevada to take them that way to find them homes. The shelters here are so overcrowded that there is no more room for anymore so we are doing what we can. I just called the shelter to find out if they have any food they can donate since we are fostering the dogs, and the gal told me I can come pick up a couple bags of food. Isnt that awesome. I have actually become pretty resourceful these days. That makes me happy.
morning, just got back online from last night. talked to my man this morning and he said that if i was to get pregnant by accident i cudnt abort so they would have to do another c section, which is something i hadnt thort about. but if we go ahead with no. 5 he will have a vasectomy after the birth so i wont have to worry about it again. glad to hear about the dogs, shame you cant post a picture
Thank you and you are welcome as well. I was skeptical at first myself, but after talking to the mom that was on c section #5 my worries were gone. Thanks for the props for the puppies. I just found out that if we dont find homes in 2 to 3 weeks the other gals friend in Carson City NV will take them and find homes for them.
It utlimately depends on your doctor. I know a girl who's doc told her that after c-sec #3 it was time to call it quits. BUT I have heard of women having a 4th section. You should really discuss it with your obgyn. It also has a lot to do with the TYPE of incisions used on your uterus with your last sections as well along with YOUR health.
After 3 C/Sections, the risk of a uterine incision rupture goes up somewhat. We still see women who have more than 3 sections. Your doctor will give you the risks, then if you want to do it and are willing to take the risk, do it.
thanks for that, you made me feel abit more positive about what i want, everyone just tells me the negatives, but over here all the celebs have numerous c sections but pay for the best surgeons i guess! good luck with the dogs by the way, we have 2 12 month old pure bred b.collies and a rhodesian ridgeback all of them really loving and smart, its a farm here as well with 4 kids, rabbits and chickens. you have a good heart doing what you are.xx
Oops, forgot to mention this will be c section #3 as well.
I was going to tie my tubes after this c section, but my honey and I decided we want to wait and have one more in a year or two, so I am opting out of the tubes getting tied this time and asking my doc if they will allow me to have one more. i know another mom on here is going in for I think her 5th c section and has done just fine. I think the hemmoraging is more common in trying a natural birth after c sections.
thanks for that, its a case over what I know and what I want I think, when I had my last baby the midwives all said 'see you back again soon ?' and at the time I said no, 'I cant have any more sections after this is my 3rd', they all said its my choice if I want it then they have to do it, although a consultant would advise me of the risks. Still can t decide though, nothing can compare to holding your newborn.
I believe most doctors would not agree with a 4th section, although, you can do whatever you want, it is your body. It also depends on how much scar tissue you have. I had 2 sections, and my doctor did not think I should have a 3rd, I am though. Following this section, I will get my tubes tied.
