can I get in trouble?

I had been going to my obgyn appointments ever since I found out like I should. But at 30 weeks I switched offices due to rudeness and not feeling comfortable there. We'll I'm now 33 weeks and the new office still has not seen me due to there over booked. Well I finally got an appointment Monday but I feel I'm getting the same treatment as the other office. So I was seeing can you get in trouble by law for just not going to anymore and waiting for delivery? I have the hospital picked out and already have my papers filled out for them. I have a healthy pregnancy and everything is fine so I feel I can just wait till labor

See the Dr. At the end of your pregnancy especially, you can develop high blood pressure and this can be dangerous. The baby could also be breech and this is also dangerous. These are things they check for at the Drs office. The last month of your pregnancy they have you come every week to check on things, it's that important.

Cps can't get involved unless baby is born and you refuse service at the hospital.

It would be fine. If you have had a healthy pregnancy then they do not do much at the drs office. I would however be very careful if you show any signs of problems and head straight to the hospital. I would consider staying with the Dr but I know it is very hard to deal with rude people.

My sister in law quit goimg so she didnt have work and she developed preeclampsia and didnt know until it was really bad and had to be induced at 32 weeks and cps almost had to get involved for neglect. I think its very important to go because you wont know if something goes wrong.

I have heard of instances where cps gets called, just to check in though for the most part to make sure you didn't hurt the baby or such. But idk if they actually do that

The usa is the only country in the world that makes you feel like you have to have constant medical care throughout your pregnancy. Some people choose to try to go through their pregnancy as natural as possible. I didn't even go to the doctor with my first till I was 6 months pregnant. Women have been doing this forever.

I would keep going to the appointments  to be safe. There's rude people everywhere  in life..you just have to deal with it. Your baby's health needs to be your main focus...It's being uncomfortable for an hour vs. A healthy baby. I don't think you can get in trouble though.

When you're young unfortunately people think they can get away with treating you badly. I was pregnant at 16 and 17 when my daughter was born and even on the labour ward the midwives and nurses were demeaning and rude. Nothing I could've done though, it was better for my daughters health to attend my appointments and ensure everything was going ok. My partner and I are in a long term relationship and now we're pregnant again only this time I'm 22. I have noticed a huuuuge difference in people's attitudes and my midwife is at the same office and I'll be giving birth at the same hospital. My obstetrician is the same and I even said to her - "oh I remember you! You told me that all women felt pain giving birth and I should stop feeling sorry for myself when I was having a placental abruption". She is so nice to me now lol

I would suggest to find a new doctor and get an appointment asap.

In some rare instance you might get charged with some kind of abuse if you knew the baby was struggling and you stayed away from the doc and the baby died of a completely preventable condition,  like being breech and delivering at home with no help,  but otherwise,  no.

What might happen is if you get to the hospital and you don't have a doctor you end up with whoever is there on call.

I really don't think perceived rudeness on the part of the doctor's staff is any reason to deny your baby healthcare,  on the other hand.

What will you do if you also think the pediatrician's office is rude?

You should really keep going for your babies sake! Anything can happen twoards the end of pregnancy, you could get preeclampsia and not know it if your not going to the doctor and it can hurt you and your baby. I hate everyone at my doctors office but I'm going to continue do I know my baby is fine.

Honestly with my first baby i was like 8 months or a little less and i had to move out of state so my hubby can get a new job and i stopped going to my doctor once i moved i still didnt go until i reached my due date and just went to the nearest hospital and told them that i hadnt been seen so they checked me but make sure you got all your info about your pregnancy cuz they are going to want to know everything since they don't have records. Everything like the blod work tests results and all that. My previous doctor haf to be contacted so they can fax my info to them and all. But i got induced due to me being overdue.
