can u blead in early stages of pregnacy?

my partner and i have been trying for a baby for quite sometime now and we really thought we where pregnant up until today i started having brown mucus/discharge then sometime later turned redish and had some cramping... i was late for my period when i would usually be right on time. i had symtoms like sore boobs, heartburn, cravings and tierdness. i took a home test and came up negative.... could i be pregnant still?? or is it just wishful thinking??

A test that uses pink dye. There are two kinds--one is blue due (the control line and test line are blue) and pink/red (the test line and control line will be pink/red).

You can technically bleed at any point of a pregnancy. Symptoms however DO NOT mean anything. Heartburn, fatigue, cravings... these happen to us all regardless of gender. Retest again in a few days with first morning urine. Make sure to use a pink dye test as well. If this too is negative, see your doctor for blood testing to find out your hCG levels.
