I will be 7 weeks tomorrow n idk if it's even pregnancy related but I just can't breath. I'm so light headed n getting a head ache. I'm drinking lots of water, but if I drink it too fast I throw up cause this pregnancy makes me so so nauseous, and I'm laying down with my arms over my head, but still feel like I can't catch a decent breath. What else can I do?
Have you tried sitting up? Im an emergency medical technician & when we have patient's with difficulty breathing we sit them up instead of laying down its easier to breath usually. Maybe a hot shower with steam?
Also an EMT, try sitting in the tripod position, legs apart, both hands or elbows on your knees. Some patients like to curl over their knees, as if in a fetal position. Comfort and helps with breathing. Again, if it doesn't get better, go get checked out. Better to be safe!
Still can't catch a breath. I have a stuffy nose so maybe respiratory infection? I did sit up n do tripod position n it helped me breath but I feel so light headed that I couldn't stay sitting very long :( thanks for your advice. I think I will see doc asap in morning, but I will "sleep" proped up on pillows. Hopefully I can get some sleep n get some answersin the morning
