Hi there having a low sperm count dont naturally mean you cant concieve,it will just take longer.my partner had a problem with sperm morphology..as i suffered unexplained secondary infertilty, and we were told ivf was our only option.personally i feel doctors dont do enough investigations for these women or even the men with sperm problems, there are many options out there,as above comet made men can take clomid..plenty vitamin c,iron zinc,if you goolgle low sperm count you will find lots of info to help.i can tell you since i was told only ivf, which as you say is very expensive,i have had 3 pregnancys, although my first was an eptopic,2nd mc,but now im 7 weeks pregnant and alls well,so please dont feel defeated..best of luck..
One of my friends husband had low sperm count and he got on clomid. Within 3 months she was preggo!
Have they mentioned an IUI, where they put his sperm closer to the "Target"? My husband also had a low sperm count and motility and we started going to Alb IVF for tests and ended up not needing help bc we conceived naturally.
Good luck!
