cervical position early preg

My period is due today and it hasnt showed yet. Anyone pregnant, or know how the cervix should be when you are very early? I have tried checking my cervix and i cant feel the tip at all. Kinda hard to explain,but i know how the cervix tip feels/opening and i cant fee it at all.

yeah, I had a weird watery light period type thing and cramps for a month straight now...sore veiny boobs...all that stuff...so she did a blood test on the last day of the bleed = neg, but she is confused too..checked everything else...I'm a very healthy girl...just having preg symptoms with neg blood test...weird...

i've definately been learning a lot from all you ladies!!! thanks for all the knowledge....lol and thanks joyrenee....i'm just darn proud of her!!! she's been working so hard and studying (even though most of it's chemistry and i was slightly ok at it...and she's horrible with it and when i help her study she gets soooo mad at me...)

Well from what i know/read the cervix should be  firm and low and you can feel the slight opening when period is due. It will be a bit softer and low/open when ovulation is due. During pregnancy, i believe at some point  it will get high and soft and remain that way. I cant really tell if its soft or not. But i definately cant feel the tip at all, its almost as if its tucked up there.

is the placement and way your cervix opening really a sign of pregnancy? i have read this in a couple of different places and have heard my mom (she's a nurses aid, going to be a nurse soon..yay momma, at pittsburghs #1 baby hospital) talking about cervical placement and all that fun stuff.

What i mean by cervix high is, it is higher up in the canal and i am unable to feel the tip of the cervix where you can feel the opening.  Normally your cervix tip is reachable with a finger. so....hope that helps.
Did you go to the dr because you thought you might be preg?

ok, weird question...when I went to the doc on friday to try to figure out what is going on...still had residual brown old blood and she had a real hard time getting to my cervix, it was like it was further away or something???never experienced that...than the pap didn't even hurt at all and it ALWAYS hurt before...she taped my cervix and asked if it hurt and I barely felt it so I said no...I am confused by tons of symptoms but neg test taken at the end of the light bleed...docs confused as well have ultrasound on tuesday :-) why can't I be normal...anyway has anyone else experienced this? what do you mean by cervix is high? excuse my ignorance...

I understand) My first was a girl then I had my son, now I am so confused as to what this baby will be I am only 5wks 6days so I still have time.... All of my pregnancies have been completely different! This is my 4th pregnancy,  the first was a miscarriage and I was "SICK"  then all of a sudden it was gone. With my daughter I only had a few symptoms and with my son I had morning sickness (nasuea not much puking) but I was severely dizzy all through my pregnancy only to increase the last 2 1/2 months before labor! So if your cervix is high and you have common symptoms you may very well be pregnant!

i have been more sleepy than normal i guess, going to bed early. I have had more frequent urination, some tingling in breast but no soreness, mild cramping on left/right lower ab for several days but with my daughter i had morning sickness/nausea really early on and sore breasts so since  my period hasnt come today i wanted to wait another day or so before buying a test.

I am not  completley sure but I believe that your cervix should be high and closed. Maybe thats why you cant feel it now..... You could take a test is period is due today. Have you had any kinda symptoms that would give you a reason to check your cervix ?
