This i can give tons of info on. I did IVF and have had to do progesterone suppositories 4 times a day, and can attest that my cervix changed every day, through out the day.

Mine started off slightly longer and firmer after implantation, this continued for about 4 weeks, then it softened slightly, but was still quite low (easily touched by the finger tip when inserting supps), around week 8 it rose slightly, only to lengthen again the following morning.

Then followed a week of up and down in length through out the day, seeming higher and softer like a fat little piece of jello in the morning, only to lengthen out again during the day. Had me convinced i was going to MC any minute.

Around week 10 it seemed to stay soft, and fat and high most of the time, but even now at week 13 it still changes slightly through out the day.

I did ask my OB, and after a sweet smile at my paranoia, she explained that like many items in the body is changes shape through out the day.

Trying to tell whether it has a mucus plug in or not, never seemed an easy thing for myself, i know it does as the OB checked, but the tip opening also seemed to change shape a little depending on the shape of the cervix.

Hope that helps in some way, just go off what a test says and not off an unreliable item such as cervix position , although some people do swear by it :P

Hey there, your cervix varies when you are pregnant as it does when you are not, it's not really something you should mess with if you think you are pregnant. The general rule for the cervix in pregnancy, or early pregnancy anyways, is that it will be quite soft, but the opening to the cervix will be closed and filled with the mucus plug. As I said it varies but this is generally the case. As your pregnancy moves on your cervix will get a bit harder and much longer and eventually you wont be able to reach it as it will be quite high up in your vaginal passage. I hope this has been helpful :)
