chance of pregnancy
Ive been taking Aleese for about 3 months now, took depo provaira for 3 months before that. I missed my pill last night and my boyfriend and i have unprotected sex 3x while i missed the pill. I took 2 pills at the same time when I was suppose to take my other one. What are the chances of me getting pregnant, (i most likely have PCOS and I have only one ovary)
also for the past 2 weeks, ive been nausous from the morning i wake up to i go to bed. I wake up tired, and through out the day till i go to bed, im tired. Im always hungry. my feet hurt. my abdomen is sore and crampy like sometimes. and my breasts are really sore. Could it just be from the birth control? oh I have alot more discharge, but im not REALLY going to the bathroom more then usual, but i guess I am sorta. maybe once more than usual
okay, in June of 2011, I was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst the size of a football on my right ovary. I had surgery for it in November and successfully got it removed, but was told that my right ovary was gone. They also told me that I have 2 months pregnant. (which was rare with an ovary cyst that big) I was quiet happy. But things started hapening that shouldn't of that made me going into the hospital. (bleeding monthly, painful cramps, and foul odor). They did ultrasound after ultrasound and found out I had an molar pregnancy. I went in for surgery in Janurary being 4.5 months pregnant with an HcG level of 70 000. My gyneocologist put me on depo so I wouldnt get pregnant again. Everything was fine for the first few weeks until I started puking every day. I went back in the doctors and they told me my HcG level was going up so something didn't go right (possibly pregnancy). A month later when my HcG was at 500, it bounced up to 700 cause I got pregnant again. the doctor told me am I using any other sort of protection. I said no. and when my HcG was at 5, it bounced to 20 because I got pregnant. She took me off Depo because she said it wasn't working for me and I needed to go on something better. Because of my cysts, I can only go on low dose birth control. I was on Yaz for 2 weeks before they took me off of it because it made my cyst bigger in June. My gyno told me I cannot go on IUD, patch, anything with just female hormone because it does not work for me. So I have been on Aleese for 3 months, I forgot my ONE pink pill when I have 5 left before I start the white ones. I started having servere abdomenal pain on my left side, so I went in for an ultrasound 3 months ago and they found a "complex" ovarian cyst the size of a grape on my ovary. They told me to keep my stress levels down and to stay on my birth control pills as the cyst will go away on its one. Sure enough it did, but I went in for an ultrasound a few weeks ago, and they said the volume of my ovary is 11cc when a normal ovary is 4.5cc. They put "possible PCOS?" on the test results and the gyno said that PCOS will not harm my ovary in any way if I stay on my birth control pill. I told her I havent not been taking them on the same time for almost a month. from anywhere to 10 mintues later to 12 hours. My boyfriend and I had sex 2x the day I forgot my pill and once the morning after. I took 2 pink pills the night after at the time I was suppose too. I took one 8 minutes early and the other one at 9:00pm exactly. The doctor told me that I have a higher chance of getting pregnant (which I dont know how because of my ovary and the birth control) but she said I need to be careful. I was 1 out a 1000 to get a molar pregnancy, 1 out of 300 to get pregnant before HcG hits 0, 1 out of 50 to get a retroverted uterus, etc etc etc. The doctors say I have "just the greatest luck" when it comes to pregnancy but my mom did too.
CC? And a lot of your post makes no sense. You say you have one ovary and possible PCOS (which should make your odds slim) but then get pregnant on every BC on the market (which many have a less than 1% failure rate) and also now apparently ovulate WHILE pregnant (which is also extremely rare and doesn't often happen in women) Can ya see my confusion?
thats what the doctor said too. They couldnt figure out why I was still getting pregnant. I was one out of almost 300 woman too get pregnant before her HcG level hit 0. It went from 5 and jumped to 20 and the doctor said it was because I got pregnant again but miscarried a week later
I had an ultrasound done a few weeks ago and it said my ovary was 11cc's. the BIG ovarian I had was gone but the little ones were still there
Especially if you only have one ovary, that makes it even more strange that you get pregnant on every BC on the market.
Although, if you've been pregnant that many times in a short span ON BC, I don't think you would have PCOS. PCOS is the leading cause of infertility in women, and with it you generally never ovulate.
the only birth control I can take in the mini pill because the IUD's, shot, patch, everything else, I got pregnant one. Havent got pregnant on the pill
The mini pill isn't like other BC. You have NO wiggle room to mess it up. It doesn't matter how busy you are, it should be a priority. There are dozens of other birth controls out there beyond the pill, shot and IUD. There's the patch, implant, Nuvaring, etc etc.
i took it on time for 2 months, then I started getting really busy. and started taking it 10 - 15 minutes later almost every night, then it moved to 45 minutes later, and there would nights where I would take it on time
my doctor put me in Depo Provera, and I got pregnant 3 times off of it. So she said I can't go on Depo because I am the few it does not work for. Same with Marena. Marena is not good for my uterus apparently and my uterus will most likely shot it out. So i am only allowed on the mini pill which my gyno put me on RIGHT after I had my D&C for a molar pregnancy in Janurary.
No - BCP's are meant to be taken as directed. You not doing that makes it very ineffective. You need to get on a BC you don't need to use daily, or start using it properly. And possibly using condoms as well. You can test two weeks after sex.
I took 2 pills at the time I was suppose too the next night after. Could they lessen the chances? or should I take a test next month when my period is due
If your not taking the Bcp regularly there is a chance of pregnancy. you should use another form of BC with the pill till its in your system properly for a month
and I havent really been taking it on time either. (as early as 10 minutes later, or 12 hours later)
