chances of pregnancy

Question

hi everyone

ok i decided to go off my bc (nuva ring) this would be my second month without using it last month i had my period on june 4th for my regular 4 days my bf and i had intercourse a few days after and around the 15th i started wat looked like a period for 3 days and then it stopped..this had never happend to me even before goin on bc. towards the end of the month i had my period again on the 27th thru the 30.. from wat i was checkin i was supposed to ovulate around the 8th or 9thof july and i had that stretchy clear cm on the 9th..( bf and i had sex the night before) but it had a little red in it and the following days i was bleeding again mid cycle but it wasnt heavy like a period it went from red to dat dark brown discharge and on saturday it was pinkish and was da end of that. so idk wat it could be im planning to go to the dr this week jst to make sure nothing serious is goin on but wat do u guys think? u think theres a chance of me bein prego? im due for my period on the 21st of this month...

Wow.. I recently had an aunt that came to visit and had one but she looked in pain.. I was surprised she told me I had a uti it was jst weird and now da antibiotic she gave me is making me feel drowsy nd I stil have cramping...not fun....
Im supposed to be goin out tonight with my friends and im not feeling up to it :(

I myself had a UTI and never knew I had it either. I had went to the hospital for major vomiting, stomach pain and dehydration. Turns out it was a UTI that mutated into a Kidney Infection. Not until I started treatment did I get a little bit of pain over my kidney's. It was bad enough that I hadn't slept, eaten or been able to hold down liquids for 4 days. 

For me, I have started to get OTC test strips. I periodically take them to see if it's possible I have another infection. You can usually get them at any drug stores (I personally buy mine at Wal-mart)

i was on the ring for a while i actually liked it i didnt have to worry about taking pills or anything which is good cuz im terrible at taking pills. And i had a prego test done at the dr. today and it came back NEGATIVE.. no chance at all from what she said.. 

also had never had a uti before so i had no idea i had one i had symptoms no burning or anything other then my back hurting..

I was on nuva ring before and it didn't agree with me AT ALL.  i had to come off it half way through the month.  Since then I have heard terrible reports about it.  It may just be the bc, not saying that there is not a chance that you are pregnant.  also I found that if I had sex with it in it made the symptoms far worse.  It was a horrible experience.

It's good that you got the pain worked out. UTI's are bad things if they aren't found out.

So I had my test done today and came back negative.. The back pains I had were due to a uti I had no idea I had it.. And she said my cycle is probable all wacked up because I jst came of the nuva ring...

It's impossible for us to say. There's a large variance of "normal" and change from female to female. Just depends on your own body and how it handles things. 

I do know of other women this has happened to though, so you're definitely not the only one.

was the bleeding i had last month and this month normal though its a little scary to have these changes and not kno if it happens to others or if im the weird one lol...

If it's been at least 2 weeks since ovulation/sex you can test, but I wouldn't get your hopes up hugely high. Make sure to take a high sensitivity test (such as First Response) and use first morning urine.

my cycle has always been a little of before bc so it wouldnt surprise me to be off or anything but i was just a little more concerned since it had happend around ovulation and i  wouldnt mind being prego but i dont wanna get my hopes up... would it be too early to test just to get out of my system?or should i just ask my dr on thursday to test me there?

Since you've only just come off birth control 2 months ago, it's possible it's just your body being out of whack. When you stop using it, it can take a few months for your body to regulate itself and get back to normal. This also holds true even if you've had 1 or 2 normal cycles previous to this.

that whole mid cycle bleeding really throws me off..but its true i am planning to see my dr this week even if i do get my period which i feel like i might i have some cramping and lower back pain but i also have these time where i feel dizzy out of no where...

Bleeding isn't an indicator of much. While a female won't have a true menstural cycle while pregnant, she can bleed and it can be similar to a period. Without testing or seeing a doctor it's impossible to say what is really going on. Just know that anytime you have sex (even protected) you have a chance of pregnancy.

There's definitely a chance. Every woman has a %25 of getting pregnant each month when she's not on birth control. When your monitoring your fertility and have sex specifically during your fertile time then that percentage goes up. 

You should be able to take a test and see if its positive or not.  I love EPT (+ - ) kind and the Clear Blue Digital.   both kinds are the ones I used when I got my BFP's with my boy's pregnancies.
