chest pains?

For the past two days I've been having a chest pain in the middle of my chest that feels different from heartburn. It comes and goes in about 5 mins increments and has not stopped for the full two days. It starts like what feels like heartburn and then deepens into a stronger pain and into my lower jaw. Idk what this is or should be worried?

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Same exact thing just happened to me. I went to the hospital after 2 days of the pain. They checked to make sure it wasnt a blood clot in my lungs. Because they said thats the worst it could have been.  I see my doctor today she said it might be a rib out of place.  But they gave me some muscle relaxers and thats been helping. I will be 39 weeks along in 2 days.

They happen when I'm just sitting straight up, but if I lay down on my side they seem to become more frequent and hurt a lot more. They do take my breath away but I've been trying to breathe through them, I feel like that helps? The ones that do give me nausea are the ones that are the most painful. They're still happening

I am a cardiac nurse and that's a sensitive topic to me. What makes your pain worse? Movement? Activities? Any shortness of breath? Any sweating that's like abnormal? Nausea? The fact that it moves to your jaw concerns me but it might not be a big deal. However, I would still go to the emergency room. They will get an EKG, draw some lab work that will include some cardiac enzymes and will be able to tell you for sure. Make sure you are able to answer all my questions above to your provider and describe that pain. Good luck and I hope you feel better.
