cocoa butter question...

i have been applying cocoa butter since the second day i found out i was pregnant.  i use palmer's cocoa butter lotion.  i have recently seen many advertisements for special cocoa butter "specifically designed for stretchmarks."  they have one for the boobs and another for the tummy.  what do you/did you use?  do you think there is really a difference???  should i can my regular cocoa butter and buy the fancy stuff?

I have used palmers cocoa butter lotion for my pregnancies and I have minimal stretch marks.  I do have some that I got the last time I was pregnant with #4.  I was lazy towards the end of my pregnancy and did not put it on everyday like I had before. I now have beautiful stretch marks around my belly button.  Still not bad but they are there and now that things are stretching agien they are becoming more noticable.  I have heard that it is a matter of your skin and its elasticity (?) but I learned my last pregnancy and I put it on everyday now.  My advice to you is keep going strong with the Palmers Cocoa Butter lotion:) Also there is something about the type of foods you eat that determines the elasticity of your skin.  I eat alot of green vegetables naturally so I think that plays a part in the minimal marks I have.

As for the cocoa butter lotion I think it's all the same.  Personally I never bothered with any of that.  After the first two I looked like a walking world atlas anyway so there's really no sense in trying now that pregnancy # 7 is here.   I think some women are just predisposed to stretch marks wheres others aren't.

OK I HAVE AN ANSWER!

buy vitamin E oil. That is what all the good lotions have in them, well just buy straight vitamin E and appy it everyday. Also you can take vitamins of vitamin E that will also prevent the stretch marks. It's not very expensive.. I buy it at my local natural foods market. Or order some online.

honestly, i don't believe any lotion will help!  the cocoa butter will definately help to moisturize your skin (especailly now in the cold weather) but if your body is going to get stretch marks i don't believe there is any way to prevent it...  :(
