colostrum question

Hi ladies, i was just wondering about the colostrum that you produce at the beginning of breast feeding.  I have 12 days until i have my c-section and have noticed that i am getting the tingling in my boobs (like the let down sensation) and a bit of colostrum leaking out.  I know that this is normal but was wondering if there is a certain time that it changes to milk?  If i start to leak it now will there still be enough for the baby when it is born or will the milk production already have started.  I know this seems like a silly question but just wanted to know.  Is if the baby being born that stimulates the milk or the baby sucking that does it, in which case the colostrum just keeps being produced until the baby starts sucking.  Anyway hope all are well.

it's the baby feeding that actually stimulates the milk to let down or 'come in'. Colostrum is very important in the beginning and if you're worried about not getting the milk or anything, drink Mother's Milk tea. It helps milk production kick in as well if you're at all concerned about your milk coming in and it wont prevent the colostrum either.

I believe colostrum keeps being produced until the baby starts nursing. The first couple days it is very important that it gets the colostrum and not milk.
