consern w/ twin preg/ sharp pain today

I know that it will be common to feel abdominal pain (similar to cramping) during the pregnancy, but today i was laying in bed and got up and felt a sharp pain below my belly. it lasted for 10 sec and then was gone. i am 7w prego w/ twins, we heart the heartbeats all in seperate sacks at 6w and the dr said everything looks great.. are the pains with twins different than a single preg? i don't want to be a paranoid but it really freaked me out.. i have no other symptoms during the preg. I have my next u/s on 4/3, should i just wait to see the dr or should I call the dr office and have them do the check earlier. has anyone exp this and everything was ok.

You probably just twisted your body or stretched and caused the ligaments some pain. Take care to get up and move around. It won't do anything to babies but it will make YOU miserable!

I would say that if you don't experience any more of these pains, you should be fine.  I was pregnant with twins (unfortunately lost them) and made it to 9 weeks....I occasionally had sharp pains, but like you said, they went right away and sometimes it would only be once or twice a week.....It's probably your ligaments stretching to accomodate the babies as well as your uterine lining thickening!
