contractions 10 mins apart?

I'm 37 wks 3days , I've been having painful contractions every 10 mins , when that happens I get extreme pressure down there. Yesterday that I went to the Dr I was 2 cm , but baby was sideways (transverse), I noticed my discharge change from white lotion like to yellowish mucus like. This morning I noticed a blob of mucus discharge but it was brownish.
I don't know if I should wait till they are 5 mins apart or my water breaks? My hospital is 20 mins away

if bub hasnt turned head down overnight, as I said yesterday, dont wait until your waters break because of cord prolapse risk, I would also ring the hospital as the standar come in when they're 5 min apart probably wont apply to you if bub is transverse, they will probably want you in so that they can keep an eye on bub

U might wanna call asap especially if baby is not head down because the cord could be prolaspsed and suffocate baby

the brown mucus is your plug that you lost, i would call the doctor thats on call just to make sure if you dont need to go in or not. or you could be in labor.
